Astron Plastics has recently been awarded the contract to remove 600,000kg of LDPE (Low Density Polyethylene) from GlaxoSmithKline’s Boronia site. The removal of the deflash plastic from their Blow Fill Seal operation is a major benefit to Astron as it enables the use of recycled plastic to be consumed in numerous industrial products offering many clients sustainable solutions.

Astron Plastics will remove and process the waste on a daily basis. The process will see the use of recycled plastic bins supplied by Astron and manufactured from Astron Plastics recycled resin by Astron’s related company Viscount Plastics. GlaxoSmithKline is a major contributor to the recycling process and continues to focus on sustainable solutions to the plastic waste it produces.
